Tomorrow marks the start of the 44th annual Seafest in Prince Rupert, with this year’s theme being “Surf’s Up”.
Organized by the Prince Rupert Special Events Society, the three day event will feature arts, crafts, food, sports, and more.
A bouncy castle will be on site for the kids, with a 3-on-3 basketball, 4-on-4 street hockey, soccer, and slow pitch for the adults… as well as food.
Celebrations will kick off tomorrow morning and run through Sunday evening, with a full schedule of events available at this link.
You can also find more information on the celebrations by visiting the Society’s website at this link.
Most of 3rd Avenue and a number of adjoining streets will be closed Saturday for the Seafest Parade.
Closures will begin at 6:00 in the morning as crews work to set up for the parade.
The parade itself will get going at 11:00, and will follow a route along 3rd Avenue from 7th Street to 1st Street.
