BC’s Liberal Party may not be going by that moniker for much longer.
Around 800 are set to attend the party’s leadership convention this weekend, where they will vote on whether or not to take on a new name.
But, even if they opt to approve a name change, the new name will not be finalized until all party members have a chance to vote.
Party Leader Kevin Falcon says that, should they vote for a change, he will tour the province over the summer to speak with members on the change.
While the BC Liberals are not officially associated with the Federal Liberals, Falcon says he wants to remove any perception of the contrary among voters.
