Residents of the northwest may have a bone to pick with a certain big tooth, fat tailed, national mascot.
BC Hydro says to blame the beaver for an internet and phone service outage which impacted much of the northwest on Tuesday.
According to the utility, a beaver-felled tree damaged several fibre optic and telephone lines near Topley, leading to outages of up to 8 hours in some communities.
It’s the second time in as many years that the animal famous for building dams had British Columbians uttering a harsher version of the word.
