After hearing no public opposition, Terrace Council has given its approval to a proposed amendment to the Sherwood Mountain Brewhouse’s liquor license.
Last year, Council passed a resolution to expand the Brewhouse’s existing license to cover the use of a new outdoor patio.
But, during the building permit stage, the floor plan was revised to include a consumption area in the beer store, requiring a new resolution.
While it would be primarily used as a takeaway location, the altered plan would increase allowable occupancy from 146 to 175.
A public hearing on the amendment was held at the end of last month, with no submissions being received.
Sherwood must still receive approval from the Liqour and Cannabis Regulation Branch to enact the changes, which they hope to have by the end of July.
