Most of yesterday’s flood watches and advisories are still in place, with the addition of a few more alerts.
The High streamflow advisory in place for the town of Smithers, village of Telkwa and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako is still active, as is the advisory covering the Fraser River.
The first advisory is calling for a potential 10 year flood level in the area that it covers.
The flood warning that covers the Liard river and its tributaries near Fort Nelson and Watson Lake is also still in place.
The Quesnel River is currently under it’s flood watch as well.
But now, the peace region is under a flood watch covering it’s tributaries at Fort St John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Moberly Lake in addition to another flood watch covering the Central Coast and its surrounding tributaries.
