Two women in Prince Rupert are facing numerous charges after breaking in to the same person’s car twice, before stopping for lunch.
RCMP received the initial report of a stolen vehicle in the early morning of June 15th, though the incident stretched further back than that.
Prior to the theft, a pair of women broke into a car belonging to the eventual victim’s daughter, stealing her wallet, and a set of car keys.
Those keys belonged to a vehicle parked in the victim’s driveway, which the pair then broke into, this time making off with the car.
After the theft, the pair stopped off at Maverick Mart, using the stolen credit cards to purchase food, before heading to the industrial area.
There, police apprehended the pair, and found the driver to likely be intoxicated, leading her to refusal to comply with a sobriety test.
35 year-old Olympia Stevens, and 41 year-old Janine Innes are now facing a slew of related charges, while the former was transported to a correctional centre in Prince George.
