Flood risks remain high for large sections of the North and Interior, though risks in the Northwest have stabilized for now.
With temperatures expected to begin rising this weekend, the BC River Forecast Centre has a number of advisories in place.
A Flood Watch remains in place for the Liard River and tributaries near Fort Nelson, Watson Lake, and the Northern Rockies.
High Streamflow Advisories are being maintained for the entirety of the Nechako River, and for rivers and tributaries in the Peace near Fort St John, Dawson Creek, Taylor, Moberly Lake, and Hudson’s Hope.
And a new High Streamflow Advisory has been issued for the Upper Fraser River and Upstream tributaries near Prince George, and the Robson Valley.
Flows in the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers are predicted to stay at 1-2 year flood levels through the week, but could hit 10 year levels early next week.
