With temperatures expected to boom this weekend, British Columbians are being advised to prepare for the heat.
Due to the forecasted temperatures, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement covering much of the province.
For the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District, Dease Lake, and the Cariboo, temperatures are expected to hit the high-twenties this weekend and rise in to the mid-thirties early next week.
While a heat warning is not expected to be issued, the temperatures will will feel much warmer in contrast to recent, cooler weather.
Northern Health is advising residents to prepare a heat plan by identifying cooler areas inside and out, knowing ways to cool down, drinking plenty of water, and identifying vulnerable family members or neighbours.
