A new building mural is on the way to Kitimat, and residents are running out of time to vote on how it will look.
Earlier this year, the District of Kitimat granted the Kitimat Public Art Alliance $20,000 to go toward the painting of murals in the community.
After identifying a number of suitable locations, the Alliance settled on the Lower City Centre Mall as the site of what they hope to be the first of many murals.
But, before the mural can be painted, a design must first be chosen which fits with their selected theme of “Our Natural Environment”.
After a call for submissions, four designs from artists with a relationship to the North were selected as finalists.
Those who wish to file a paper ballot can also head to Cornerstone in the mall, or the MStar Hotel to do so.
