A new clinical and biomedical research facility coming to Prince George aims to help improve health care in the north.
Titled the Northern Centre for Clinical Research, the facility will focus on clinical trials and research relevant to northern, remote, and Indigenous residents.
Through both clinical trials and observational research, the Centre will look in to new ways to prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat disease.
A variety of design, regulation, and administration supports will be made available for regional professionals, academics, and more.
Based out of the University Hospital of Northern BC, the facility was developed via a partnership between UBC, UNBC, and Northern Health.
They will also play host to a Rural Coordination Centre of BC research associate, and provide training opportunities and mentoring opportunities.
