Construction is slated to begin on two long-awaited pathway projects in Terrace next week.
Uplands Nursery has been awarded the contract to extend the Grand Trunk Pathway from Frank Street, west to the Kalum River Bridge.
That decision came after the only compliant bid on the project, across two tendering periods, came back over-budget.
In addition, the City has announced a start date for construction on the Lakelse Gateway Connection project.
That project will see an asphalt pathway laid to replace the gravel pathway along Lakelse Avenue between the Old Skeena Bridge and Apsley Street.
Construction on both projects will begin on July 11th, and is expected to wrap-up in the fall.
