In addition to work on the Old Skeena Bridge, two other bridges in the Terrace area will see rehabilitation work this summer.
A $4.7 million contract to rehabilitate the Kasiks River and Legate Creek Bridges has been awarded to Cortez Construction Ltd.
Located roughly 60 kms west of Terrace, work on the Kasiks Bridge will include: resurfacing, installing new pier deck joints, and drainage improvements.
Work on the Legate Creek Bridge, 36 kms east of Terrace, will include: resurfacing, new abutment deck joints, and bearing replacements.
Expected to begin this summer, the work on both bridges should wrap-up in the fall, with traffic down to single-lane alternating in the meantime.
