In honor of Canada’s EVWeek, funding that will look to reduce pollution and create more spots for electric vehicles to charge will be coming BC’s way.
BC’s Minister of Natural Resources, Jonathan Wilkinson, announced earlier today that a combined $1.7 million will be coming to BC in order to install 128 EV chargers across the Province.
This funding was made available thanks to the Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program and the Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative.
All of the EV stations are expected to be available by the winter.
A big investment like this is part of Canada’s goal to make it so that every passenger vehicle in the country produces zero gas emissions by 2035.
