Most of the fires that had been keeping wildfire crews busy in the northern portion of the Northwest Fire Centre are now under control.
But, the largest of those, a 4,700 hectare blaze west of Highway 37 and north of Blue River, near Lower Post, is still listed as out of control.
Two out of control fires continue to burn in the mountains west of there, a 20 hectare blaze near Tahoots Lake, and a 906 hectare fire just north of there, along the Jennings River.
A 150 hectare fire north of Tagish Lake, near the Yukon border is also still listed as out of control.
Of the 10 total active fires in the province, the Wildfire Service lists 6 as either under control or being held.
All of the fires were sparked by lightning.
