No wildfires are currently ongoing in the Cariboo fire region, however the number of fires in the northwest is now at 8.
A 4,700 hectare blaze west of Highway 37 and north of Blue River, near Lower Post, is the largest of those.
A fire burning near the Jennings River is covering 1,100 hectares and is listed as being held southwest of there.
A 150 hectare blaze along the Yukon border, near Tagish Lake is now listed as under control by the Wildfire Service.
There are 5 more fires burning in the Northwest Fire Centre, and while one is listed as out control near Mount Conover, the rest are either under control or being held and the same goes for most of the Prince George Fire Centre, outside of an out of control fire near Cameron River.
One wildfire of note is burning in the province, now covering 2,058 hectares near Nohomin Creek just outside Lytton, which has forced some people to evacuate their homes and could potentially get bigger due to warmer and drier weather.
