After 30 years with the company, it was announced today that Joe Rektor, Vice President of Finance & Corporate Services at the Prince Rupert Port Authority, will be heading into retirement.
As for his replacement, the Vice President of Finance role will now be filled by Agnes Piotrowski.
Piotrowski is a senior executive that has experience in strategic and operational roles and her most recent job was the role of Executive Director of Financial Operations & Reporting at Island Health.
Rektor initially joined the PRPA back in 1992 and did many different jobs over his time working at the company while also making a big impact on the port and maritime industry in Canada such as when he joined the finance committee for the Association of Canadian Port Authorities.
The PRPA also stated that they wanted to thank Joe for his three decades’ worth of contributions to the organization and that they wish him the best.
