The province of BC saw an uptick in total Covid cases last week, but the North’s numbers went down, as did hospitalizations, according to the CDC’s weekly report.
Between July 10th and the 16th, the province saw 1,044 new cases of Covid-19, up from 973 the week before.
Hospitalizations, however, dropped to 246, provincewide, down from 262 the prior week, with 21 deaths within 30 days of testing positive.
Northern Health reported 50 new cases, down from 65, with 10 new hospitalizations, down from 11 the week before, and no new deaths.
By Local Health Area, Terrace saw 4 new cases, Haida Gwaii reported 1, Burns Lake saw 1, and the Stikine reported 0 new cases.
Prince Rupert saw 1 new case, Kitimat saw 0, Smithers had 2, the Nisga’a had none and the Upper Skeena Health Areas saw 1 case.
