A trio of hot water tanks at the Terrace and District Aquatic Centre will need to be replaced a bit sooner than initially thought.
Originally, the City had scheduled the replacement of the tanks for next year, but a recent inspection has prompted them to change their plans.
According to that inspection, the three tanks at the facility are pushing they end of their 20 year life span, and should be replaced.
In order to allow for the replacement in 2022, the City has pushed the planned main filter replacement back to next year, and bumped up the tank install.
In total, the new tanks will cost the City $38,000, though only $650 of that is not accounted for by swapping the two project’s budgets.
