A major milestone is being celebrated by the Nechako-Kitamaat Development Fund, after surpassing $12 million in investments in the region.
Over the past 23 years, the Fund has supported sustainable economic and community stability projects in communities most impacted by the Kemano project and Nechako Reservoir.
Since then, the Fund has supported more than 400 projects which improve community health and life in Kitamaat Village and communities throughout the Nechako.
Their most recent investments came last month, when the Fund distributed $55,000 across four projects in and around Vanderhoof.
But it was a May investment in the Nechako Valley Exhibition Society which saw them officially break the $12 million mark.
