A boil water notice issued by the City of Prince Rupert earlier today has been downgraded to a Water Quality Advisory.
A Water Quality Advisory is the lowest form of form of alert, and is generally issued out of precaution.
Only water intended for ingestion by the immune compromised, elderly, pregnant women, and children under 2 years-old needs to be boiled prior to consumption.
Business owners are also required to post notices at all publicly accessible sinks, or drinking water fountains or turn them off.
