Covid cases dropped slightly in the north last week, despite BC seeing more cases as a whole, according to the CDC’s newest weekly report.
Province-wide BC saw 983 new cases reported between July 24th and 30th, up from 921 the week before.
Total hospitalizations in the province dropped from 281 to 243 last week, while ICU admissions dropped from 45 to 35, with 32 deaths within 30 days of testing positive.
Northern Health saw 57 new cases last week, down from 62 the week before, along with 6 hospitalizations, no ICU admissions, and two deaths.
By Local Health Area, Terrace and Prince Rupert had no new cases, Burns Lake saw 1, Haida Gwaii saw 3 and the Stikine reported none, while Smithers reported two new cases.
