After Masset’s John Lalonde Roller Rink was vandalized a few months ago, community volunteers that were organized by Masset RCMP’s Corporal Evan Hobbs, were able to clean a lot of the garbage and spray paint at the rink on June 26th.
There is one more cleaning session at minimum needed to get rid of the spray paint in the bathroom.
Police in Masset are also asking that local residents report graffiti to them as taggers are supposedly less likely to return if their tags get cleaned up quickly.
The RCMP also thanked all the volunteers for their work, and their names are Brendan Nickle, Dave Reynolds, Dejah Busch, Derek Washington, Elicia Houle, Evan Hobbs, Karl Hystad, Stephanie Hobbs, Tando Dwyer and Victoria Grosse.
