During their meeting that took place on July 27th, Northern Development went over and chose 5 projects in Northern BC that will receive a share of over $1 million in funding so that said projects can strengthen their communities and the economy.
The projects that are getting said funding were announced earlier today.
The first project will see $300,000 go to the Village of Fraser Lake so they can upgrade their curling rink.
Another $300,000 will go to the Fort St. John Seed Cleaning Cooperative Association to buy all the necessary equipment to improve their plants.
Project number 3 is a multi-phased development in the Village of McBride and it will receive $200,000 in funds.
The next project will get $137,607 in order to re-develop the Knox music hall in Prince George.
And finally, $145,627 will be used to purchase and install a commercial hydroponics growing system on Xat’sull First Nation lands.
