After a couple of weeks off, another heat warning has been declared covering inland sections of the North and Central Coasts.
In Terrace, Kitimat, and Bella Coola, daytime highs are expected to reach as high as 28, while only dropping to around 13 overnight.
With temperatures this high, the risk of heat-related illnesses is elevated, especially for children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses.
Residents are advised to get plenty of water, avoid alcohol and strenuous activities, and to prepare a heat plan with locations to cool down both in the home and community.
Environment Canada expects the heightened temperatures to persist through Thursday.
Meanwhile, wildfire smoke in the area has also prompted an air quality advisory for inland sections of the Northcoast near Terrace.
Residents are advised to remain indoors as much as possible to avoid irritation and reduce smoke exposure.
