Covid cases were down in both the province and the North last week, while hospitalizations declined significantly, according to the CDC’s weekly report.
Between July 21st and August 6th, BC saw 900 new cases of Covid-19, down from 983 the week before.
But hospitalizations saw an even bugger drop, going from 312 to 173 last week, along with 28 deaths within 30 days of testing positive.
In the North, cases dropped from 57 to 40, and hospitalizations remained steady at 8, with 3 ICU admissions, and 4 reported deaths.
By Local Health Area, Terrace and the Nechako each saw 4 new cases, Smithers, Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii reported 1, and Kitimat and Burns Lake each saw 0.
