Recent sightings of potentially dangerous wildlife in the community have the Kitsumkalum First Nation urging residents to be cautious and aware.
According to the Nation, a cougar was spotted near a residence on the 3500 block of Spokeshute Street, while a lynx was reported near West Kalum Road.
Anyone who spots the animals or any wildlife is advised to stay clear and contact Kitsumkalum Fish and Wildlife at 250 635 5000, or the Conservation Service’s 24 hour line at 1 877 952 7277.
