A new project is now underway to bring expanded and improved cellular coverage to residents around Fort Babine.
That project will bring new cellular infrastructure to the Lake Babine Nation’s reserve, as well as along nearly 6 kms of highway next to it.
Once the project is completed in 2024, residents and visitors will have access to cell phone, voice, data, and emergency 9-1-1 services in the area.
In total, the project will cost $2.3 million, with the province providing as much as $2 million, and Telus contributing $231,000.
