Covid cases and hospitalizations in the province continue to drop, despite a slight uptick in cases in the North, according to the CDC’s weekly report.
Between August 7th and the 13th, a total of 877 new cases were reported province-wide, down from 899 the week before.
Over the same period, there were 181 new hospitalizations, down from 226, with 29 ICU admissions, down from 39, and 24 deaths within 30 days of testing positive.
Northern Health reported 45 new cases, 5 more than the week before, but dropped from 14 to 9 hospitalizations last week, with one ICU admission.
Terrace saw more new cases last week than any Local Health Area in the North with 14, while Haida Gwaii saw 3, Prince Rupert and the Upper Skeena reported 2, and Smithers saw one new case.
