Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General has replied to a letter from the Terrace City Council after 4 months.
Minister Mike Farnworth replied to council’s letter concerning prolific offenders and crime which was originally sent in April.
In the council’s letter, they describe an email sent to them by the Days Inn about ongoing crime around their business, as well as referring to a meeting with the province in March.
Following the meeting with provincial Ministers, an investigation was launched into repeat offenders and the actions needed to address them, which is estimated to be completed in early fall.
City council expressed their disappointment in the letter they received, having not been given any more actual information.
Currently, the city is hoping for confirmation of a meeting in September with Farnworth at the Union of BC Municipalities.
