According to the Fort Nelson Chamber of Commerce, a deadly crash that involved a tanker truck that happened last Thursday is causing the town’s restaurants and grocery stores to run low on supplies.
The incident in question saw the truck that was heading north, lose control, flip over and explode which resulted in the death of the driver.
Since said incident resulted in the Sikanni River Bridge being closed down, grocery stores like IGA and Save on Foods along with a few fast food restaurants are starting to run out of supplies.
However, it is expected that supply trucks, after travelling on the Alaska Highway, should arrive in Fort Nelson sometime today.
