A new program that was funded by the UBCM Strengthening Communities’ Services, has been put into the public eye by the City of Quesnel.
This program is known as the Clean Team and Day Labor Program, and it will provide work to those that have previously been homeless or had issues with mental health and/or substance abuse.
The work in question will include picking up litter, needles, and other items every day of the week throughout Quesnel, namely in highly populated areas.
This program will also give a chance for the program members to share their stories and experiences with others as well as build positive community connections.
More information is available on the City of Quesnel’s website.
