According to a new study that was recently released publicly, a rise in a particular mental condition is being predicted to take place in BC over the next three decades.
Canada’s Alzheimer Society is forecasting that dementia cases in BC will triple by the time 2050 comes around but modelling is also showing that there may be a way to reduce the disease’s impact.
This study has apparently illustrated three scenarios to where early onset dementia can be delayed by 1,5 or even 10 years although no specific assumptions were made on how exactly to achieve these scenarios.
