The Raven Collective is pleased to announce its upcoming BUNK #7 Northern BC Reconciliation Tour.
Following the wildly successful November 2021 presentations in Terrace, the Indigenous theatre troupe is readying to take the show on the road across the north, from the Pacific ocean to the Peace with nine stops starting in Terrace before moving on to Prince Rupert, Smithers, Kitimat, Nass Valley, Prince George, Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson and Fort St John.
The BUNK #7 project is 20 years in the making. Written by the late Nisga’a lawyer and politician Larry Guno, it tells the heartfelt true story of six Indigenous boys were instigated a riot at Edmonton Residential School in 1960-61. The show immediately gained a notoriety for its spirited, down-to-earth story of resilience, and it ability spark healing and reconciliation.
The Raven Collective is making history by traveling its message right across the northern part of the province, spanning over 4000 km. The cast and crew are emerging Indigenous artists and practitioners, all from BC IRS survivors and families who attended the Edmonton Alberta institution.
