According to reports, the Province of BC has started investing in projects that will reduce climate pollution, create job opportunities for people in the clean economy, and support innovation in industry.
$25 million is expected to be invested by the CleanBC Industry Fund in carbon tax revenue, which is expected to support 26 emission cutting, fast-track innovating and future admission reducing projects.
These projects are also expected to gain about $12 million from industry and add it into the clean economy.
The projects that are chosen to receive funds are chosen based upon a process that evaluates project plans, business cases and the potential to cost-effectively reduce emissions.
