Skeena Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach says he’s glad his NDP have forced the Liberals to act on dental care.
Among those was a piece of legislation that would provide $650 per child under 12 for dental care to families with an annual income under $90,000.
It’s something Bachrach’s NDP have been fighting for for some time, and was a key factor in the supply and confidence agreement made with the Liberals in March.
Trudeau says that, along with the other three bills, the Canada Dental Benefit will be among the first pieces of legislation introduced when the House returns.
But Bachrach says this legislation is only the start, as they work to finalize a comprehensive national dental care plan.
