While this year’s Tour de North may have taken place in the northeastern portion of the province, it wasn’t without west coast representation.
Of the 14 law enforcement and emergency personnel, and community members to make the 850 km trip, 3 call Prince Rupert home.
Glen Kirkland and Kelsey Sonnel from Border Services, and Constable Nathan Hokazono from the RCMP, helped to raise $12,000 of the $151,000 total raised.
Each year, Cops for Cancer hosts 4 bicycle tours across BC to raise money for child cancer research and family supports, with this year’s target set at $150,000.
This year’s tour began in Dawson Creek on September 14th, and wrapped up in Williams Lake seven days later.
