Earlier today, an Agreement of Cooperation was signed by the Province of BC and the Ismaili Imamat.
As a result, both parties have committed to advancing joint efforts for development work in B.C. and around the world.
One project is going to be immediately implemented due to this agreement and it will see the Climate Action Secretariat of British Columbia and the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat assess climate change adaptation and long-term risks and opportunities in South and Central Asia.
This agreement comes in the same year that the Ismaili community will celebrate spending 50 years in Canada.
