Back on Wednesday just before 1 in the afternoon, Prince George RCMP got a report of an assault that was in progress outside of a business on the 600-block of Central Street West.
Witnesses on the scene reported seeing a man put a woman on the ground before hitting her in the face.
Officers on the scene got a description of the suspect and both his truck and licence plate while the victim got assessed by the BC Ambulance Service.
Police were eventually able to locate the suspect, who is a 32-year-old Prince George resident, at his home and he was arrested for the assault but was late released with a future court date.
This case is still being investigated as the man was not previously known to Police.
