As part of an on-going campaign to educate people on ableism, the Terrace District Community Services Society will be holding discussions throughout the month.
Beginning tomorrow, and continuing each Saturday in October, a booth will be set up at the Farmers’ Market to raise awareness over the barriers and discrimination faced by disabled people.
There, visitors can find out about the #ReWriteTheRules campaign, put together by the BC Human Rights Commissioner alongside partners like TDCSS.
That campaign focuses on the unwritten rules of disability, and how we can all play a part in inspiring action towards a more inclusive community.
