A pair of break and enter charges have been approved against a Williams Lake woman who broke into a pair of local retail businesses between October 15th and 17th.
Back on the 16th, Williams Lake RCMP got wind of a reported break and enter to a business on Prosperity Way, where it was determined via security footage that a woman locked herself inside the business overnight on October 15th after the store closed.
Once all employees left the store, the woman proceeded to steal store merchandise and leave with the items, which was captured on the store’s security cameras.
The next day on the 17th, Police got another report of a shoplifter at a business on 1st Ave North and after an employee at the prosperity way store conversed with an employee at the 1st avenue store, they informed the police that they believed the woman was the same one from the surveillance footage.
Police confirmed that the descriptions matched and then took the woman into custody where she had Crown Counsel charges approved against her.
The woman, known as Jerrika Leigh Hill-Jackson, was then released on conditions and her next court date is November 30th.
