According to a statement that was released earlier today, the Public School Educators Association and the B-C Teachers’ Federation have reached a tentative contract agreement under the Province’s Shared Recovery Mandate.
All negotiations that take place under the Shared Recovery Mandate support the government’s goal to improve public services and the health-care system, while also supporting the BC’s economic recovery.
While the association has not released any agreement details, they did state that ratification is likely to take several weeks.
The two sides had been at the negotiating table since the middle of March.
The BC Teacher’s Federation acts as the representative for almost 49,000 of BC’s teachers who educate students in the province’s 60 school districts.
