A tentative agreement has been reached between the Health Employers Association of BC and the Health Science Professionals Bargaining Association under BC’s Shared Recovery Mandate.
Details of the agreement are expected to be released within the next few weeks after the ratification process is completed.
Negotiations that are a part of the Shared Recovery Mandate have been said to support the government’s priorities to improve public services and the health-care system, while also supporting BC’s continued economic recovery.
The Association represents around 22,000 health-science professionals working a range of occupations from medical technologists, medical radiation technologists and physiotherapists.
Over 500,000 people work in the core public service at the provincial public sector, with the core being health, community social services, kindergarten-to-Grade 12 public education and post-secondary institutions and research universities.
