A group of energy service companies are teaming up with the Haisla Nation to expand economic opportunities in the LNG sector.
Kitamaat Technical Services Group is made up of three international companies: ServcoCanada, Novus Technical Services, and Well Services Group.
Combined they employ some 12,000 workers in across more than 115 factories, over 20 countries, and bring a balance sheet in excess of $1 billion.
With a wealth of experience in major LNG projects, the groups seek to target opportunities which directly benefit First Nations and the Northwest.
KTSG has already begun actively bidding for a range of commissioning, operations, and maintenance contracts on the LNG Canada project.
In addition, the group is providing training opportunities to assist businesses and support the Haisla Nation’s economic infrastructure.
According to the groups, the partnership is among the first of its kind between a First Nation and oil services companies.
