According to the recently released second quarter fiscal update, BC is in a good spot to continue supporting people and navigating emerging global economic headwinds.
As was listed in other jurisdictions, the Second Quarterly Report has confirmed that a quick economic recovery has led to stronger than predicted revenues in the Province.
The report also said that BC’s current operating surplus is $5.7 billion, up $5 Billion from the first quarterly report.
The reason for the drastic increase was due to a significant update from the Canada Revenue Agency for 2021 personal and corporate income tax results.
The third quarterly report is expected to be released February 28th next year along with Budget 2023.
