Welcome to Journeys with Kelly Kenny. What an episode I have for you all today! I was presented with the opportunity to speak with former professional National Hockey League player Bryan Trottier! Mr. Trottier played 18 seasons in the NHL for teams : New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins. Bryan Trottier won 6 Stanley cups ! 4 Stanley Cups for the New York Islanders and 2 Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins. And Bryan was not done yet … Bryan also was assistant coach when the Colorado Avalanche won their Stanley Cup! What a career in hockey, all the while raising his family and living his life the way he wanted. In this interview we talk about Mr. Trottier newest endeavour … Bryan is now an author. The book is called All Roads Home: A Life on and off the Ice. It is published by Penguin Random House. I thoroughly enjoyed his book and I know you will too. Anyone whom grew up in a small town playing any sport this book will bring back many fond memories while going down Bryan memory lane. Bryan is apart of the Indigenous NHL Alumni whom travel to communities sharing their positive messages. I am honoured to have spent time with Bryan Trottier and I hope you enjoy this two part series.
