Library and Archives Canada announces ‘Listen, Hear Our Voices’ initiative funding recipients

Library and Archives Canada has announced 25 recipients of funding through the Listen, Hear our Voices initiative.

The initiative works to help indigenous organizations digitize their language and cultural materials in order to preserve them.

This cycle of funding added up to a total of 1 point 7 million dollars.

Heiltsuk Cultural Education Centre received over 39 thousand dollars towards their Digital Collections Management and Community outreach programs.

And the Alkw Media Society received 100 thousand dollars towards an unnamed project.
