Some residents of Houston and Granisle awoke to quite a racket this morning, as RCMP executed drug trafficking related search warrants at a number of residences.
Officers from both Houston and the North District Emergency Response Team began conducting the warrants at around 6:00 this morning.
In an effort to mitigate risks to both the residents and police, distraction devices were deployed to facilitate entry.
While the thunderous noise produced by the devices can be jarring, RCMP are assuring the public that there was never any threat to them.
Police say all occupants at each residence were taken into custody without incident, though no charges have been laid as of yet.
No further details will be released at this time, as the investigation is still on-going.
