More than 5,000 paramedics and ambulance dispatchers are covered under a new tentative collective bargaining agreement with the province.
If ratified, the agreement would cover employees represented by the Ambulance Paramedic and Ambulance Dispatchers Bargaining Association.
But the tentative agreement with the Health Employers Association of BC could not have been reached without the help of mediator Vince Ready.
Details of the agreement will not be released publicly until the deal is ratified, though both parties say it addresses their priorities, and supports patient care.
Details are expected to be finalized this week, afterwhich a ratification vote will be held.
