A two-day crime spree in Fort St John was finally brought to an end on Monday, thanks to a little canine assistance.
That spree began on Sunday, when police received reports of two stolen wallets from staff at a local hotel.
Just after midnight the next morning, RCMP were called to a break-and-enter at a residence the owners were just moving in to.
Roughly 4 hours later, police were called to the Pomeroy Inn for reports of a stolen shuttle van, which had been packed full of stolen audio and video equipment.
Police received yet another call 2 hours later, reporting a break-in in progress at a business in Montney, where the same van had been observed.
There, with the help of a police dog, officers were convince Ryan Donald Large to turn himself over without incident.
Evidence connecting Large, who had just been released from custody last week, to each of the incidents was discovered inside the van.
Large was remanded in custody, and is now facing 11 related charges.
