A man is now facing multiple charges stemming from a pair of robberies in Quesnel, after being arrested earlier this week.
On January 7th, RCMP were called out to an apparent armed robbery at a local Husky gas station.
After fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash, police later recovered the man’s clothing and the handgun, which turned out to be a replica.
Then, on January 13th, police received another report of a woman being robbed at an ATM vestibule by a man gesturing as though he was armed.
Evidence gathered from both scenes suggested the crimes were conducted by the same person, and a suspect was identified.
30 year-old Thomas Phillips was arrested and is now facing two counts each of robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of an imitation weapon.
